Man  has  time  flown  by  really  fast.  I  remember  registering  over  at  Clanthemes  back  in  2007  and  here  it  is  8  years  later!  Over  the  past  few  months  I've  been  really  debating  on  switching  away  from  the  nuke  platform  soley  due  to  the  fact  of  the  impression  of  its  age,  which,  sadly  is  something  I  really  dont  want  to  do.  I  know  Legend  and  Kill  have  been  busy  and  wrote  about  it  a  few  times,  but  apart  from  that  there  just  hasn't  been  any  information  or  way  to  contact  anyone  regarding  the  future  of  the  probject.

I'm  really  glad  to  see  you  two  jumping  on  board  and  trying  to  push  this  system  forward  into  the  future.  It  truely  has  the  potentional  of  satisfying  the  needs  of  some  of  the  new  determined  clan  leaders  needs  like  mine.  I  think  it  would  be  awesome  to  see  an  outline  post  regarding  the  next  update  as  to  what  you  guys  have  planned  whether  it  will  be  released  in  that  update  or  not  just  to  get  a  general  idea  of  whats  going  on.

By  the  way  thanks  for  the  updated  PHP  files.  I'm  just  now  running  into  the  wall  of  "needing"..

@Meph  -  I  will  contact  LoneStar  and  SgtLegend  over  the  next  day  or  two  and  see  if  we  can  write  up  an  outline  of  what  we  are  doing  as  far  and  stuff  being  added  and  removed.  I  can  tell  you  the  stuff  off  the  top  of  my  head  we  are  doing  is  the  HoneyPot  is  going  to  be  preinstalled.  The  updated  jQuery,  Lytebox,  lightbox,  and  colorbox  will  also  be  there.  Username  check  upon  registering  using  jQuery  will  be  there,  which  will  replace  the  one  that  is  currently  there  that  waits  for  you  to  submit  to  check.

I  also  believe  my  "new  pm"  mod  which  uses  the  colorbox  effect  will  be  in  there  that  will  replace  the  javascript  PM  popup  system.

You  can  see  both  of  those  here:
 http://evolution-xtreme.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=6607

You  can  read  &  see  more  about  the  HoneyPot  here:
 http://evolution-xtreme.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=40189#40189

If  I  can  finish  up  the  change  of  the  forums  to  use  the  ckeditor  instead  of  the  standard  bbcode,  then  that  will  probably  be  put  in,  but,  because  of  themes  out  there,  I  may  not  and  just  focus  on  cleaning  up  the  current  bbcode  along  with  possibly  adding  in  a  few  new  buttons  like  my  float  left  &  right  buttons,  sticky  note  bbcode  button,  also  with  the  twitch  bbcode  that  I  just  finished  writing  up.  Of  course  if  we  stick  with  the  current  bbcode  system  there,  we  will  have  the  fixes  for  the  youtube  in  there  already.

You  can  see  those  fixes  in  this  post  and  the  post  below  it:
 http://evolution-xtreme.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=42485#42485

I  know  Lonestar  has  his  image  repository,  new  admin  look,   version  checker  system,  and  bbcode  button  for  his  repository  being  finished  up.  I  also  his  new  downloads  module  will  be  put  in  there  replacing  the  older  one.

Tough  part  with  that  will  be  writing  up  a  script  to  do  those  DB  changes,  especially  for  those  that  are  running  my  version  of  the  upgraded  DL  module.

As  you  can  see  by  this  post,  we  have  been  going  through  and  fixing  any  php  5.4  errors  that  appear.  I  believe  our  goal  will  to  have  it  php5.5  or  5.6  compliant.  Release  hopefully  will  be  this  year,  hopefully  by  summer  the  latest,  but  don't  quote  me.  There  is  really  only  3  of  us  on  it  I  believe  and  we  are  doing  upgrades  during  our  free  time  when  we  can.

@notafinga  -  I  will  keep  that  in  mind  and  I  will  let  Lonestar  &  SgtLegend  know  also.

Those  are  very  welcomed  updates  Dread.  Lately  a  lot  of  my  members  have  been  stumped  about  the  registration  steps  to  confirm  their  accounts.  It  would  be  nice  to  see  the  confirmation  email  that  gets  sent  via  email  actually  be  the  link  that  confirms  the  account  instead  of  the  submit  button  afterwards.  Most  of  the  members  oddly  enough  think  you  have  to  either  A)  fill  out  the  entire  profile  section  or  B)  assume  by  clicking  on  the  emailed  link  that  their  accounts  been  registered.

That  SQL  update  is  going  to  be  a  nightmare  on  a  developmental  end.  While  were  on  that  side  of  the  topic  have  you  guys  deemed  this  a  2.0.9E  update,  2.1  or  even  possibly  a  3.0  update  if  enough  officially  changes?  I  also  do  a  lot  of  web  design  so  whatever  Notafinga  can't  get  too  I'll  be  more  than  happy  to  help  you  guys  out.

Good  luck  and  I  hope  everyone  had  a  great  holiday.  Back  to  work  for  me  in  the  next  few  days  Sad

Yes,  that  has  been  a  topic  of  concern  for  us.  I  know  I  have  talked  to  SgtLegend  and  Lonestar  about  it.  That  is  something  I  will  be  taking  a  look  into  unless  we  decide  to  redesign  it  a  bit.  But  trust  me  when  I  say,  it  will  be  different  in  one  way  or  another.  But  for  now,  there  are  a  few  things  that  can  be  done,  I  will  have  to  look  for  the  post,  but  you  can  add  a  second  submit  button  and/or  add  in  a  popup  letting  them  know  to  click  the  submit  button.

I  will  look  for  that  or  I  will  look  for  a  work  around  so  it  automatically  submits  then  brings  them  to  their  account  if  they  want  to  edit  it.

There  wouldn't  be  any  SQL  updates  needed  to  in  order  to  improve  the  registration  process  as  the  problem  lies  directly  with  the  separation  between  phpBB2  and  the  Your  Account  module  which  is  creating  the  less  than  optimal  experience.  I  have  in  the  past  mentioned  this  but  I'll  reiterate  it  again  that  my  intention  was  to  scrap  the  current  Your  Account  module  and  create  a  brand  new  module  simply  called  User  Account  which  will  be  100%  integrated  with  the  original  forum  code  but  instead  of  classic  code  it  will  be  seamless  and  behave  in  the  way  other  major  registration  forums  work.

The  other  advantage  to  rebuilding  the  Your  Account  module  is  the  chance  to  bring  forth  SSO  (single  sign  on)  for  Facebook,  Twitter,  Google+  etc.  which  has  been  asked  for  in  the  past  but  is  hard  to  achieve  because  of  the  way  everything  is  structured.

For  the  time  being  we  can  update  the  process  so  you  don't  have  to  go  through  the  form  again  but  instead  submits  the  user  account  and  activates  it  automatically  then  takes  you  to  your  profile  page,  I'm  heading  back  to  work  on  Monday  so  I'll  take  a  look  when  I  get  home  but  I'm  pretty  sure  I  could  knock  that  update  out  pretty  quick.

The  database  updates  I  mentioned  were  in  reference  to  any  future  changes  to  the  CMS  not  the  registration  portion.  I  think  I  remember  you  talking  about  a  new  registration  procress  awhile  back,  but  its  been  awhile  so  my  memory  on  the  topic  may  be  a  bit  fuzzy.  Anyways  any  improvement  is  a  welcomed  imporvement.  I  hope  you  guys  enjoyed  your  holiday.  I  head  back  to  work  Wednesday  myself  after  having  a  few  weeks  off.

Why  not  just  use  a  php  selector  fine  a  host  using  cloudlinux  then  select  the  version  of  php  you  need  issue  resolved  no  upgrade  needed.
